About the Program
The UC Davis eMCDB T32 Training Program provides outstanding research and career training to 18 PhD candidates over two years. The training is aimed at preparing predoctoral Trainees to become successful leaders in the national biomedical workforce. Our mission can be broken down into three main threads. First, we aim to maximize the scientific growth of our Trainees in the interdisciplinary area of molecular, cellular, and developmental biology, particularly as it relates to quantitative approaches and biostatistics. Second, we aim to provide enhanced training activities designed to support each group of Trainees in becoming creative, rigorous, ethical, and resilient scientists with honed communication skills and access to strong mentorship resources and career development activities. Third, we aim to enhance graduate education beyond the confines of this T32 program and impact student training broadly by making as many of our activities open to all College of Biological Sciences-affiliated students.
